Canadian Consumer Partnership Programme

The 2010 Canadian Consumer Partnership Programme provides year round opportunities for trade to be present in the Canadian market. The programme includes advertising in a print publication with a distribution of 300k and reach of 1 million consumers across Canada, product features in a targeted e-marketing initiatives (website, consumer and trade e-zines), publicity and contesting opportunities and a chance to participate in the Tourism Ireland brand advertising campaign. There are three levels of participation:

1. Entry Level – Digital
2. Level 2 – Intermediate Level
3. Level 3 – Top Level

Entry level Digital Consumer & Trade Partnership Programme includes:

WEBSITE: Year round product presence on www.discoverireland.com (Canada) website in the Vacation Offers section. One product offer featured on the website - updated upon request. One product offer featured on the website homepage (2 week placement) during key Jan-Jun booking period.

E-MARKETING (Consumer): Product offer featured in two consumer e-zines: one Tourism Ireland e-zine to warm database of previous contacts (50k+); one e-zine to third party travel database (1m+) with a track record of delivering high conversion rates (e.g. Travelzoo, Lonely Planet etc.)

E-MARKETING (Trade): Product offer and editorial featured in one quarterly trade e-zine to travel trade database of 1000+ during key Jan-Jun booking period.

TRADE WEBINAR: Participation in one travel trade webinar targeted at 30+ travel agents across Canada (retail consortia/tour operator res. staff/Ireland specialists).

Intermediate Level Consumer Partnership Programme includes:

PRINT: Inclusion of one product offer / half page ad in full colour, 20 page Ireland Vacation Offers brochure for targeted distribution across Canada from Jan – Jun 2010. Print run approx. 300,000.

DISTRIBUTION: Distribution of Vacation Offers brochure via tip-in in key Ontario publication (150k+); Direct mail distribution of brochure to targeted consumer database (50k); Brochure distribution at all travel & lifestyle consumer shows attended by Tourism Ireland Jan – Jun; Brochure inclusion in all consumer enquiry kits Jan-Jun; Tip in to national travel trade magazine (14k+).

PUBLICITY: Tourism Ireland will run a media campaign to highlight the 2010 vacation offers. Partner offers will be featured in press releases, trade & media e-zines and Tourism Ireland will identify promotional contesting opportunities to raise awareness of Ireland and partner product.

ONLINE ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN: Partner product exposure in TI branded online advertising campaign. National reach on high profile news, travel and lifestyle websites which best deliver on Tourism Ireland’s core target of Sightseers & Culture Seekers 35+ and have a proven record of generating strong response and conversion rates. Click thrus directly to partner websites or dedicated landing page within www.discoverireland.com. Final media plan TBC.
